SABOURIN FILTER ENVELOPES

The Sabourin Filters require very little maintenance and this is a direct result of how the medium is cleaned. The medium is gravity cleaned, not shaken nor reversed-air cleaned. The filter medium is gently cleaned by gravity, during normal operation, without cleaning cycles. When the filter is off-line more dust cake will flake off to refresh the medium. On continuous filters we have added an extra module to make sure the medium is rested and refreshed at a set interval. 

This cleaning method will ensure a long life for the filter medium and even eliminates the need for laundering. It is not uncommon to have the original bags in for 10 years.

Since there is no bag cleaning equipment: no timers, no mill air, no sweep arms, no clean-air blowers etc: Operating costs are virtually eliminated.

Occasionally the envelopes need to be checked for tightness and may be tensioned by adjusting the tensioning rods.

STANDARD REV. GAS FILTER BAGS

Most bag houses are cleaned by reverse-gas (RG) or by pulse jet (PJ). These air-reversals cause the dust particles to work against the fibers of the medium and put the filter medium under regular stress This causes the filter medium to wear out prematurely and this is especially true, when handling abrasive materials.

Moreover the bag cleaning equipment requires regular maintenance, need occasional repairs and cost energy to operate.
